Banish Down Under
You cannot teach happiness. It’s not attainable when being sought for. Everyone’s on the lookout, but everyone’s missing it. Where is it? There! Where? In front of you. She told me, “Remember when I first met you? You we’re the happy girl, with the giggles and had a fit of smiles on your face. What happened to that girl? Oh, the little troubles, you worry yourself with? Where is that free girl? Where is she?” Go out! Go out! Find her; find me that little girl, with no troubles. She’s grown up has she? Nonsense! Have you checked in the gullies? In the cornfields? The bus station? Caught a bus, so you think? To find happiness. Everyone’s on the lookout, but everyone’s missing it. Where is it? There? Where? In front of her. She told her, “ . . . as such you failed to perform to your maximum capacity . . . the future will also look very bleak . . . you feel there other people even if I am gone. But the truth is once I go they actually do not know you any more!” Words that crushed happiness Taught reality Paid for that bus And with toes that kissed foreign land Here she goes, searching.
