Encounter of the Third Kind
Encounter of the Third Kind One summer night, I visit my sister and her children in Mount Vernon Leaving Mount Vernon, I pass Mundy Lane; There is only one person in view This young man is ahead and to the left of me; I am totally alert Suddenly, I am now aware that I am being closely watched I quickly direct my gaze over the houses, towards the moonlit sky; Awesome rapture! On my left about two hundred feet up is a huge, round circular object I look down on the sidewalk, then back up in utter disbelief It is still there, motionless and no sound This object is black, grey, metallic, saucer-shaped about half the size of Yankee Stadium There are two square-shaped, rotating sets of soft lights, not directed towards the Earth One row of lights is rotating in a clockwise fashion; The other is rotating in an anti-clockwise motion While keeping the object in plain sight, I begin to walk again As I move on the ground, this object is now moving with me in a parallel direction There is still no sound, this is not an Earthly machine No one else seem to notice as I stare above me Nearing Baychester and two hundred forty first street, I begin to slow down The object slows down and is now at a standing position I am amazed at this Heavenly vision. I am now keeping my eyes glued to this object It is now about ten minutes after eleven. The forty-one bus has just arrived The driver has made a u-turn. After getting on the bus, I sit on the left side It is now moving towards the lower Bronx. The other people on board seem not to notice. Parallel with the bus, the object follows at every turn On Webster Avenue, I look down ,then up; It is no more William Morrissey 7/15/90vision
