Proper
It's in the movies that the display, Measured white screen precisely laid, The twenty-four a second images roll by, Captured as if conceived by artistic eye, And I don't know if what I have been is proper, I haven't treated you as a friend and, I haven't treated you as best I can and, Properly displayed and played, Stories of love and risk, Do what is wrong, song of hearts, I don't know what is meant as proper, Romantic notions are adored only in fiction, A rose by any other means is no less expensive, What once as joy perceived as friction, A proper distance starts at extensive, And I don't know if it would have been proper to be proper, I loved you as much as a friend as any other and, I loved you enough to take a chance and, Wrenched connection sure to cause stress, Sink where respect goes to drain, Done what is wrong, song of hearts, I don't know why it is proper for us to part. (I have done wrong).
