One Glimpse of Hope
mist on the ev'ning soft breezes blow colored leaves have been wrapped for the show watching an angel dancing so slow lost in the music no place to go calls from the distance echo in part from messages hung next to the art and then there's one child inside life's chart hoping that freedom's still pure of heart songs from the valley offer no clue to all the myst'ries we have moved through studies of springtimes bring nothing new from shadowed mountains hidden from view somehow spirits drift throughout the dreams coated in moonlit yellows and creams alongside fountains and narrow streams nothing that matters is as it seems still we wipe the mist from burning eyes to stare at faces lost in disguise by gossamer wings carried through skies is the broken soul promised to rise angel still dances in her own way knowing forever is here to stay she sees through the mist those whom will stray it's for them alone she'll ever pray
