Kids In 2050
From a wee guy age two, to his dad in the year 2050! How long before I can drive a car? You always say I'm too young So what if I can't actually feed myself And you still have to change my bum Times they are a-changing dear father The age of majority is now two Our brains are the size of soccer balls With the balls to try things new I know my size might be a problem But with all these gadgets that exist As long as my brain is functional I can still do most things on the list Like keeping track of my finances Making sure I've got enough to retire When reaching the age of two hundred ten Having plenty till the day I expire It must be difficult for you to grasp I realize that this is all quite new But so many advances have taken place Us wee folks live longer than you So next time you look at us young'uns And feel sorry we missed what you had Each new generation has it's own advances A product of our time, good or bad © Jack Ellison 2012
