Nonunderstanding Life
What has happened? What happened to that sweet little kid? Free-willed, nothing holding her back. Brave, strong, and true. What happened to that smile? And eyes filled with love? So much love in her eyes, Not understanding what she did. Why has this happened to her? Walking with scars and bruises. Not knowing what she did. Remember that smile? Yeah its still there, but only to hide her pain. Remember those eyes filled with love? Still there, But slowly fading. Why am I treated like this? Scars and bruises shine through, Tearing flowing freely whenever they want, Love drained out of her eyes, Smile never returning, Yelling and screaming continue, Fighting increasing, Nothing to ease the pain. Will this ever stop? Pain is accepted, Scars and bruises are hidden, Tears still flow, not as much, Learned to love, but only ones I can trust, Fighting is talking, Smile when feeling accepted. Will time tell? The pain is slowly fading, Fighting with my OWN battle, Loving the ones that love me, Forgetting the ones who don't, Smiling and laughing often, Thinking deeply about life, And starting out fresh.
