Hourglass
So he steals five grains from My hourglass and I just about Seem to reach the other side Of the Rub’ al Khali with no Change in my pocket of Dreams where you’re supposed To have built this wonderful life For the love we make every night In the dark corners of some Brightly lit cloud; Zeus’ Thunderbolts and Poseidon’s Murky wetness chain me to those Impossible moments where I know I’m just in love with the thought Of sanity and I’d gladly pay a King’s ransom to be the man who Leaves his dirty boxers strewn across The floor of your soul I thought maybe I put the key to your whole around My neck but some days I just want The key to your hole so forgive my Aggressive poems; I had to scribble Them on cave walls with broken Bones just to keep them alive for A generation of minutes maybe five Million grains of sand will buy me An hour to tell you how much I love you
