A Chance
I look back at the years gone by, And wonder, what if today I die. But today is the day I was born, And I see no reason to be forlorn. For the smiles that still remain, For the tears I can't refrain, For the joy I can't explain, For the days I spent in pain, Give me a chance - I'll live it all again. For the ones who chose to stay, For the ones now far away, For the love that went astray, For the love I couldn't say, Give me a chance - I'll live it all again. For the wounds I harshly caused, For the doors I blindly passed, For the anger I did not restrain, For the ones I held in disdain, Give me a chance - I'll change what I can. For the words I did not ban, For the flames I did not fan, For the times I turned and ran, For the times I was a lesser man, Give me a chance - I'll change what I can.
