The water bursts out of an opened hand The elemental drenches Her own homeland She fires the ice that formed in her heart At her once happy village But she no longer cares, she doesn’t wish to be this way, her element forces her to part She was once loved, once had her own dreams, and loves, but those vanished a long time ago Her heart is now ice stone She didn’t ask for this, has no wish to be filled with water instead of blood Has no wish to flood Her only friend, a Fire elemental, becomes her only enemy His eyes turn red, Her anger turns to fear Fear that she will always be this hateful version of a fallen girl Fear that no one will ever want to come near Her eyes turn blue; she takes the ocean and throws it at that annoying Fire But, realized her mistake was very dire For, too late, her body is taken over by that strange fire He picks her limp, still alive, body Throws it over His fire body, and takes her to where the oceans merge Throws her in and waits for her to emerge The water rises; she holds a sword made of her power She floats over to her captor And in a fit of anger Tries to slice him with her new power But, apparently, there are rules Elementals are never to punch or use their power on others with Powers They are at the mercy of their instincts Never allowed to kill And never allowed to take over someone’s free will
