Be Strong
Poetry is a friend that will understand and listen.. Holding you in my hands, You slipped through my fingers like grains of sand. When everyone has left your side poetry lights your flame inside. Guiding you through the rough seas of life While showing you the beauties of the land My heart is full and my soul is weak I am weary and dead on my feet As sky's of grey close in on me That will not break me. Tired of living I will be strong and you will see I will never look back for the past is gone Everything happens for a reason don’t you see? Some reasons are kept as a hidden mystery Look far and wide turning every stone in sight And one day you will see you were never alone You always had me Be strong my child and it will become clear I did not just do it for me.
