Compelling Satisfaction
The sky is a shade of dark grey now It seems as if our depart has caused this terrible scene Adjusting to the fact that you aren't right for me I can recall the day you told me that we would never work out My brow arose in an instant My heart fell burning with shame I had gave you everything My brain knew this was for the best, but my body did not It craved him with all my being My body longed for his touch, but I new it would never be found It made my soul crack in an anguishing anger My hatred for you flared intensely as I cried day and night My mind is racing, tracing, and erasing the thoughts we once had of each other I walked into my mother Not paying any attention I was too busy thinking of you I decided to talk to my mother for some closure Just to decide this was for the best Driving up the coast, heading home I notice your car out back I walk up to the door and in a breath You are on your knees Begging please I look into your eyes and for a moment I think you might have changed But to catch a quick glimpse of compelling satisfaction in your eyes I walk away, to awake out of this dream
