Salvation
The two stood apart from each other. The warrior was covered in blood that was almost all his own. His body was beaten and his breath came in ragged gulps. He readied his blade and attempted a final strike at his foe. A cloak caught the attack and only a mask could be seen. He fell, his spirit broken and his resolve gone. His body no longer able to fight, his eyes began to see nothing but shadows. As he began to fade a voice spoke, "Rise." He lifted his head to see a light flooding the sky. It wrapped around him and he stood. An angel came down to him and placed her hand on his, "Heal." His wounds closed and he felt strength return to him. His resolve came back as the light was finally freed. The warrior stood anew and he lifted his sword once again. The angel gripped the sword with him and added her strength to his, "Fight." The warrior charged and the fight resumed. With the light free and the angel giving him purpose, the warrior fought. The battle raged and the shade was beaten back. Life flourished around him as the shade was locked away. It would break free and attack several times. Each time it would be further broken as the two stood firm against the darkness. Others came and bonds strengthened. The light could no longer be sealed, and the darkness was bound forever more.
