Only a Dream
Walking together on a cool and breezy night beneath the light of the moon. Gazing off the pier at the glistening sea. On one side fishermen fishing the other side lovers kissing. The wind rustling through your hair. Politely, I brush it from your face. Our eyes lock it seems as if it were only you and me. Your eyes sparkle from the lights illuminating the sky. A flushed feeling came over me expressing it across my face. Your beauty strikes me and for a moment time stands still. You reach out to hold my hand without a second to hesitate our hands meet. My lips dry as if I had no words to speak. I lick them to moisten them; your words sound so soft in my head. It makes my knees feel weak, if we might we will. The kiss so soft and sweet unlike the lovers to either side. My soul is surfing with the high tide. The night ends as I can see daylight break. At the window I stare... only a dream, I did make.
