The Devil He Be a Wandering
The devil, he be a wandering, Searching for a fool, Someone easily persuaded, To come under his rule. Pride, deceit and unbelief, Are the tools of his trade, Planting seeds of fear and doubt, In the souls that he invades. The devil, he be a wandering, Searching for a saint, A true believer in the Lord, But one whose faith is faint. Satan takes great delight In deceiving God's elect. He cannot steal their salvation, But their peace and joy he deflects. The devil, he be a wandering, Seeking whom he can devour. He comes to steal, kill and destroy, At any given hour. But Satan is a defeated foe, Christ sealed his fate on the cross. Those who stand with Jesus, Will not suffer loss. Based on John 10:10 and 1 Peter 5:8 Matthew 24:24 entered in Brian Strands (1057) contest
