Heaven
You offered me a false paradise When I am dead You offered me Utopia But my world Was hell instead And when I leave this earth Knowing this to be true That my seeds have inherited iniquities And pestilence in full You stand on the pulpit Propagating lies And you do not deceive me Because I have eyes You plunder our riches While you turn me against my brother And made fools of us So I wonder You work on our avarice Turned brave men timid It is an act of cowardice Welcome to the apocalypse When there was enough bread To go round You mocked me instead And made me look like a clown Made me beg for my birth right Which you call a privilege And anytime I raise my voice People called it a sacrilege You told me to wait for heaven While you built yours on earth You told me it will be better Yes I could never forget Castles on the moon Parties in Wonderland from January to June Pegasus with golden wings flying men like gods While we eat from garbage cans like dogs But it was never my turn to go to heaven Even though I had one life to live It was never my turn to go to heaven Because there is nothing more to give My heaven is now Not tomorrow Because I will not live a life of sorrow My heaven is now not tomorrow Because life is not something that we can borrow
