The Turtle and the Scorpion
The scorpion and the turtle? Have you heard this story? They are mortal enemies in natures scheme of things it can be gory’ Anyway this is a message about different creature’s nature. So they’ll see this story and maybe mature. This turtle is in the water as the scorpion looks and approaches. The turtle thinking he’s safe you see scorpions can’t swim, so he’s comfortable. “Hey mister turtle I need a ride across the river’ what do you say?” Answering, “Are you kidding me? No how, no way.” The scorpion reasoning with him says, “I can’t even swim and I don’t want to drown.” As he’s talking the turtle thinks and stares with a frown. Replying he says, “You’re my natural enemy you’ll surely poison immensely.” The scorpion exclaimed, “To drown in the river? Are you kidding me?” Well the turtle being good hearted started reasoning and thinking. He could make this enemy a friend; he surely doesn’t want to die with both sinking. Skeptically willing to take a chance with good judgment let’s the scorpion mount on his shell. He thinks in faith and all will be well. Half way across sure enough he feels the scorpion’s sting. A pain shoots through the shell to his body and his ears ring. “Now you’ve done it you rascal you we will now surely die’” The turtle couldn’t believe it, feeling the poison, he shouted “Why?” “To tell you the truth I couldn’t help it, it’s my true nature.” Said the scorpion. The turtle realized it to late he’s to die, what a foolish decision. The ones that some of us make in this world does matter with Our Father. The turtle and the scorpions were enemies, so it is with man it is what matters. The moral here is simple you decide important things in your life. Either trust carnal man and his evil ways, or trust the Father or save yourself the strife. Sometimes things that are looking ok might be the light of the evil one. If you have faith follow the Lord’s lead you’ll always hear His voice, and listen closely and through the Holy Spirit you’ll find His loving Son.
