Got him too with just one shot, Dad fell down on the ground. Broke his arm on impact, so they said when he was found. Saw him at the mortuary when I went to ID. Half his face was dented in - not nice at all to see. Saw him again at the Funeral Home to make myself accept. Didn't look like him at all and Death I did reject. Smelled real bad, not like MY Dad and felt so hard and cold, I was feeling empty then and very very old. On a rainy day in Early March we laid him in the sand, and I said 'Goodbye' to the man who once had held my baby hand.
