The hand of God does cover— The righteous in His sight. Until eternity becomes their victory; Salvation their new birthright. The blessed become a blessing— To help the poor and bereft. The love of God in their hearts— Goes out to the right and the left. When they become a fountain, More blessings each one does find. They continually display God’s glory, Just as He originally designed. The blessed become a blessing, When they share salvation’s story; Demonstrate by their lives, A picture of God’s glory. Our actions show our heart, And even if our pockets are bare; Actions of kindness— Reveal a God that cares. The blessed become a blessing, When faith or love is shown; A caring heart and a gentle hand— Is by God’s grace daily grown. All of us are born selfish— To bless others we must learn.
