Stood Out From the Rest
When we first met, you stood out from the rest, That's how I knew what we started would be a success I knew from the start when I saw your deep mahogany eyes, You got what it takes to touch me and those eyes don't lie. Then secondly came that warm, mischievous smile, Got me instantly infatuated, mesmerised for a while, I felt hot, my heart leapt, couldn’t believe what I was seeing, Deceivingly good looks, but could looks be deceiving? But when you winked at me I knew, no doubt, you're the One, My heart started racing, and I never even knew it could run Held my breath in tight, almost dying for the sake of beauty, Analysing your physique, and you were such a cutie Wow, I must be dreaming as they turned and strolled my way, Still holding my breath wondering what to say You stood before me, blinding, radiant as the glorious setting sun, I've often heard about this feeling, but never knew this is how it begun. I looked down shyly, searching the floor for clues, Then my song came on, you know that slow song for two Before I knew I reached out and gently took you by your hand, And you swept me off my feet, I didn't want to land Joint written by Nathaniel Holder
