Mithraism
Mithraism “20 They exchanged their glorious God for an image of a bull, which eats grass. 21 They forgot the God who saved them, who had done great things in Egypt, 22 miracles in the land of Ham and awesome deeds by the Red Sea.” Psa 106:20-22 NIV At the foot of Mount Sinai In the presence of our Lord, God’s children worshiped the image of a bull— Ignored their God in one accord. The worship of Mithras who slayed the bull Is still with us today; Covered with a robe of Christianity; It’s pagan origin concealed, not on display. Mithraism is based on Astrology, Which has become favored by many. As if the times and season have an influence, When it is God who controls our journey. Most say Mithraism originated in Persia, And covered most of the Roman Empire. It was a religion of secrecy— Gave credence to its sun god umpire. Mithraism influenced so-called Christianity In a very subversive way. Many of its customs were adopted, Such as a priesthood and Christmas day. When Mithraism is closely studied, It’s not very hard to see, That the Romans obeyed their sun god— Their Emperor’s hand of power to agree. Constantine made the cross a symbol Worthy of power and display; Claiming it brought him victory In a strange, miraculous way. Although professed, he was not a Christian, But rather sought unity of his kingdom; Purely to maintain his power; Put a stop to all Christian martyrdom. Constantine was a Legionnaire, And their secret religion was Mithraism. As head of the military he influenced Christianity, With his secret religion of paganism. Mithras’ worship is still with us, But it has a Christian camoflague. It’s always been a religion of secrecy, So ask God's truth to be revealed at large. © Copyright 2012 Maureen LeFanue www.maureenlefanue.com
