Marked Prologue
Griffin pulls me closer. I hear my heart pounding in my ears. His soft lips that are like rose petals push against mine. I am in complete bliss. Suddenly the mark on my right shoulder begins to burn. The white hot pain makes screams escape my mouth. I fall to the ground. I hear Griffin screaming “Liv? Liv, what’s wrong?” But, Griffin’s screams slowly drift away. My eyesight begins to blur. Before I let myself go into the darkness I see Griffin’s worrisome blue eyes. I try to say “I’m sorry” but the lump in my throat won’t allow me to speak. The bitter taste of defeat overwhelms me and I allow the darkness to take me away. I know it's not a poem, but I wanted to see what you guys think of the prologue of my book (:
