Her Tears Arrived Today
Those tears that never came When her heart was burnt by a lover's flame Those tears that never flowed When off into the sunset her lover rode Those tears that weren't released When he was devoured by the jealous beast Those tears never went away All her tears arrived today The anger that she never felt At the unfair hand that she was dealt The anger that never grew When off the handle her father flew The anger that never festered When everyone always seemed to best her That anger never went away All her anger arrived today The pain that she ignored Every time that she was floored The pain that made her numb Inflicted by every one The pain that she suppressed On the wounds that were left undressed That pain never went away All her pain arrived today That bottle of pills empty today Was full of pills just yesterday No more prayers could she come to pray As the tears, anger and pain all slipped away
