The Beast Within
All I want is to rid myself of this beast inside, But I fear it will never go away, Nobody can help me, They all have failed. No one could understand, That the beast is a part of me, That it lives because I live, The beast is who I am, He is my true nature, Hidden behind the mask. No one would care if this beast dies, Because our society does not accept, Those that do not fit their standards, Those that are different from what, Our government says is normal. Well screw the government! Society is going to hell, And their to blame, I'll laugh when they get there's, And the ones like me take over. This beast is a curse, But also a blessing if you think about it, Able to block out painful memories, Shadowing all the emotions, With a silken curtain. I am strong because of him, I shall prevail when the end comes, My body will not break. As long as he dwells inside me, I will conquer even the clutches of death.
