This Is Me Trying
I don't want to give up And give in to the doubts I want to give this a try And let us work this out But from you pen You've called an end To what could've been And allowed yourself to be swallowed in misery that won't mend And so I'm forced to ask a question These thoughts I'm expressing The words are so true they're almost symbolic And I'm saying what we've both been neglecting What if two hearts could learn to beat again And two scars could heal together Would you care to take the chance And try to make two lives better In this ever changing world Could two souls so long ago lost Overcome the obstacles and try No mater what the cost If we don't take this leap of faith We're going to be left wondering What could've happened If we hadn't given up on everything This is me trying I told you it wouldn't be very smooth If you wanted me To make the first move
