Where To Stand
Aren't we playing a foolish fool's game Where there are no rules, no shortcuts, no one to blame But why are we all trying to reach a certain fame When there's a path for the last arrow to aim. It's a choice of two roads not a road of two choices Known to all as one with wings and another of bruises Which to cross is not a battle of falling pieces But where to end is a road that leads to new faces. And what hardness there is that lies amongst it all That makes it to want to be known who stands tall We know life's a precious gem and not a bouncing ball But why do we seek the very least of them all? We see those who made it far and learned to look up Stories of life's struggles and how it has become a map But can we learn to see those who are still on their way up, See them take their steps as days goes on?
