Hi, My Name Is Joy
Guess your phone doesn't work for serious messages, only small conversation I care nothing for. Couldn't pick up the phone? Guess its too heavy when its my digits that are dialed... Was it bad enough acting like VIPs of a very important party that was my Mother's funeral? Sitting at the big table with the 'cool adults' while all the 'children' played. Was it hard enough to hear your voices crack and see your eyes fill up saying I'm the reason you came back? While I stand in your drive saying goodbye Wasn't it some nerve you had to tell me the guy I liked was bad for me, too self-righteous and arrogant to see past his own nose? Sounds familiar. Listen. You come here. pedastal and insult me, love me and leave me then up and walk with my heart. Saying I'm the reason you come, hardest one to leave. I say I'll visit you in the the fall but that isn't soon enough for you. Well, sweethearts, my summer's looking busy...
