Emulation
Emulation "We all, with unveiled face beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit." 2 Cor 3:18 Whatever we meditate upon, we will finally emulate. Our minds are transformed daily, by the subjects upon which we concentrate. If we practice a musical instrument, we will emulate the music of the composer. If we meditate upon God's word and nature, we'll emulate the love of our Creator. The brain is wired majestically, to change its form daily. Rather like a tree with branches, that becomes healthy or sickly. If we watch movies of crime, we'll become changed and made numb. So when crime becomes a reality, to that reality we'll fail to succumb. Children emulate their parents, in habits and traditions. Unless there's a questioning, and a paradigm shift of emulations. We go to school to emulate, what we have been taught. The emulation of our actions, are followed by our thoughts. In days gone by folk 'beheld', but today we tend to 'emulate'. That's part and parcel of learning; our acceptance of that state. We need discernment in choices, and especially in the area of entertainment. Emulation is often an unconscious process, of destruction or attainment. Copyright © Maureen LeFanue 2012 www.maureenlefanue.com
