Trapped In Her Secret
Should she really follow that beacon? Alone in a field of darkness, Standing on a path…not the right. “Follow the light”, she remembered. But her mansion was starkly black Brightness and darkness co-mingled…like Good and the bad on life’s road. Beautiful brown lovely creature, Firmly frozen alone in life’s tracks Born a sweet precious child of God. Innocent when she entered earth life. Taught to fear in a world that was wild. Her mildness and smiles found their fade. A young girl who never looks back – Angels watch as she greets each night's fright. Memories and flashbacks still haunt. Trapped in a world of unknowing. Her forever-embraced respects lack. She now stands alone with her past… Forgotten, onwards, but hurting, She silently screams inside. Somehow she can not find her next step. The heavens disperse a light of their own. Distracting from the sorrows at hand. If she only could see, have her soul set free. Her mansion would change into gold. © January 26, 2012 Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen Written for Poetry Soup Member Contest: Between Nightmares and Dreams... Sponsored by: Tracie ~*~ Indigo Dreamweaver
