War
*note* I can't exactly remember when I wrote this...sometime in elementary. But my teacher really liked it. I had no idea why he would be so excited about a depressing poem about war. Anyway, this is all from memory so I might have left some lines out here and there. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- War is bad, there is nothing to give Would you choose to die or would you choose to live? Everything filled with dark violence, People screaming - then silence The kind of silence that makes happiness die Death can be simple, is it worth a try? Gazing through the backyard of your life, Think of the suffering, think of the strife Wounded soldiers that grasp your heart Think of the victims in that grim death cart Make the best for your family and you Think of your life, and your future too
