Toast of the Town
You know, you're the toast you're the toast of the town. As like an old fashioned movie star as anyone could be you are. Bloomed straight out of this ground you are the toast of the town. Surrounded by children of farmers and small-town folk you are no wonder you stood out different than any girl around. Gershwin tunes always in her pretty head, Gene Kelly her all-time favorite. You know he wrote her back once? No one her age even knows who he was but she does. You're a blueberry, best friend Kerri only good girl left in this little world. You're a swing set, five miles to run yet potatoes in hand girl cuz you read it in a book and don't ever wanna grow old and I don't think you ever will. Sally on the window sill and she loves you... No one in this village knew what it held but one boy who told her what he felt: "Look around, you know, you're the toast of the town."
