There was no finery to clothe Him in, He was wrapped in homespun cloth. No royal heralds were dispatched, To announce His royal birth; But angels from the realms of heaven, Made it known to shepherds on earth. The lowly shepherds made haste to see, What the angels had spoken of, And fell to their knees and worshipped Him, This infant king from above.
