Hidden Needs
When regret returns to reprove me, sadness pours over me like a relentless rainfall, if I had given more attention to glances to detect hidden needs, I wouldn't be longing for sympathy... that sympathy I didn't have for others or myself; isn't it kind of late to hear that call? Cry heart, and let the anger escape while it yearns for forgiveness and a desire to smile, why didn't you give everything by walking that extra mile? If a blind is able to see the limpidness of a lake, and a lame take the first steps into the light of day, why didn't you love, uncaring heart ...why did you hide away? No lesson is easily learned when distraction sways your attention to accept worthless things in vague ways; no sorry feeling is quickly overcome with an apology: before you admit your guilt, step back into reality... and it occurs to me that I didn't do enough to help others when their life was tough. Look for those troubling signs, read expressions on hopeless faces: they are full of hidden needs waiting on someone to unlock them from the depth of their trapped souls... open up and reach out to them, never expecting a remarkable reward for weaving love with strong laces.
