You Let Me Down
I waited every day Hoping to see your face, But I never saw it again. You were supposed to Be there for me, you were Supposed to love me. Momma, what did I Do wrong? Why didn't You love me anymore? You left me with strangers, Walked away from me When I needed you to stay. You let me down In the worst possible way, It hurt so much. Even now my beating heart Still breaks when I think Back on those days. Those days when I waited To see your face just one More time but never did. Those days when I wished You were her, hugging me, Telling me she loved me. But it's over now and I'm Doing okay, I swear that I will never be just like you. You who chose her drugs And alcohol over the one Thing you should've chosen. But it's too late for regrets, And it's funny, after all this Time, I can't seem to hate you...
