Maybe One Day
There’s one month of every year, Where some hearts get lucky, While other hearts tear. Well it happened to me, In the year of two thousand and ten, Wearing that smile from point A to point B, This boy walked over and took a glance at thee. He asked me my name, first and last, I told him I was wondering why he had asked. Although, I didn’t think he really cared what it was, He surprised me by talkin’ to me on face book just cuz. I never felt so special talking to any one before, So I took a chance and let my heart explore. This is when it happened, in the month of love, It was like a gift sent from the heavens above. We both had a good feeling about it, So we started dating and decided to never quit. I fell deeper and deeper in love with this man, I knew that our life together had really just began. We went on a trip to Kentucky just him and I, And his family there made me realize to “live life like you might die.” As we looked around to see if our life should be there, Our relationship decided to tear. Our fighting began at night, But we didn’t wanna let go of our love-so we held on tight. Although our road got pretty bumpy, We weren’t letting the world see us grumpy. When too much was too much, My heart felt like it couldn’t be touched. Words flowed outta his mouth, Like someone from the dirty south. I was hurt more and more and didn’t know what to do, Because my world turned upside down and I felt so blue. This man is on my mind everyday, But the hurtful words need to pay. I still love this man with all my heart, Maybe one day we can have a fresh start.
