Recipe Confessions
A recipe is required for cooking, cocktails, love and life. So when I entered your bar that day cupid struck me with a knife. "Excuse me please, I know your busy but can I have your time? You glanced my way, looked at my shirt and said "My god your fine!" You had the world at your fingers woman swarming like flies. Yet the night seemed frozen in time as we stared straight eye to eye. Drunk from lust and drunk from wonder my glass stayed mostly full. Closing time rolled around You were like this raging bull. A smile never crossed your lips until I winked and smiled. I said goodbye, slipped out the side Leaving a number to be dialed. Through the years the bars your worked I'd sit and laugh and talk. Help sometimes with cleaning up then through the sand to home we sought. Far away you've made your mark Rising to the top. A man who not only served me drinks but taught me how to walk. (contest: ode to a bartender)
