That Ole' Creek
Now that I'm older there are things that I remember that make me smile Riding on the back of my fathers truck on our way to the creek for a dip. That ole' truck-shook, creaked, wobbled at every single turn. Rickety-rackety-squeak all were sounds of love. I couldn't wait to be the first one down the hill and in the Cool-crisp freshness of the water. Gurgle..gurgle was the sound it made as it flowed from one smooth stone to the next. Every now and then a stray snake would slide in for a dip to cool its belly. Perhaps today I'd be a snake charmer-send him on his way. Could I be the very thing that saved everyone from his wrath? Better yet I'd better stand aside and simply allow the creature to pass. Afterall he only slid in for a dip to cool it's warm belly. I would become so lost in my own imagination that time would simply pass me by.
