Alone But Not Alone
As I drive down this winding road, And I think if all the stories told, About my life when I was little And I grew up to be quite simple, I always knew my calling was deep, Adventure and mischief would one day seep, From my heart, my soul, my will to live, So that I could freely love and give. The desert is alive and untamed, And it is so righly named, For its' beauty, life, quiet, and solace, I know the God's will guide, will never be lost. The rocks sing me a beautiful tune, I hear the sounds of a laughing loon. I don't want to leave, this is my place, But I need to remember to share my space. The air is clear, the sky deep blue, the desert offers every hue. The colors are never ending, the beauty keeps growing. I am lucky in my life for knowing That this beautiful untamed place is here, In my backyard, so close and so near.
