Just a Name On a Tombstone
Sometimes I go to the old grave yard, just to look at the names on the tombstones, checking out the births and deaths of each person. Wondering how they died, what they did for a living, each person in this old world is important, not matter what we may think of them. One day I saw this name on one of the markers, John C. Arlington- Born 1856- Died 1946. What kind of man was he? What kind of life did he live? We all have a story to tell someone; to us it's very importatnt, even if no one else cares. During his life John saw many changes and a lot of history, to me he was a very importatnt man and deserves a little credit for the life he lived. Next time you meet a stranger, talk with them a little while, get to know them, it may mean a lot to them and lift them up and let them know that their life means something. Written 8-8-11
