Enchanted Times
O' where art thou's love on this round prison? Desperately seeking love before my soul has risen. I bite my thumb at the thought of a soul mate. Cursed with this desire, that a dream is my fate. To the one who watches over, send me a saint, so I may know her name and our lives do acquaint. But you do not answer and past saints can no longer move. Hence with your silence, I acknowledge that you disapprove. Alone on this immense sphere, I walk as though a ghost. Tripping from guest to guest in this masquerade, raising glasses to toast. Conversing with people I never want to be, but that I do envy. Then my eyes catch a sight that can't be real to see. I saw the danger and I passed along the enchanted way. I let my grief be a fallen leaf at the dawning of her day. As I tread closer to her presence and her flowing hair, I set forth a smile and she obliged, and she gave one to share. We parted from the masses and stepped lightly along the ledge. Amusing one another, I knew one day, I would give her my pledge. I wished the queen of hearts, to me one day let her love bequeath. As a cloud over fields, she shades my sorrow and it goes beneath. Henceforth on this journey, the road to her heart, and love may one day reign. Maybe one day she will share her mind with me and leave in the past my pain. Now away from me she must go, leaving only her sweat scent in the street. So on this quiet road I am once again a ghost, until the next time we meet.
