The Nation Kills
A shameless deed has been done Forced upon her by mans own hand No voice did she possess To utter forth her distress Die he proclaimed Die by freedom which was thy own domain Bounds thy country made unto you For in it you foolishly trusted Still they would slay thee Are they then to face the disgust they brought To face mans judgment which ye bought No went forth the cry Let him who slay thee prosper while you die Who then cries for thee Oh shameless one Alas even thy one love has turned cold Seeking only thy end Oh child of a breast The darkness of quilt Shall forever be lain on the nation And the one whom you placed thy trust The one who laid thee to your final rest Fear oh people who have placed ye trust Fear the nation that kills its defenseless Caring not for the bounds it has made Between it and God Who will hide his face On that nation killing one who cannot fight How then may you judge them who now will Punish them now for this same disgraceful sin
