Nine Eleven
Nine Eleven The Call of the Angels came on this day As silent celled terrorists opened their cache. Without remorse, they took an oath of death Taking with them thousands emptied of breath. America stood helpless, shattered from shock While ashes covered the streets, violating blocks. Every home stood paralyzed by the horrific scenes Faces were wet from hearing their dying screams. The Call of the Angels came to earth that day Whisking them away to heaven where they will stay. Paying a price of intercession for we who remain Uncovering our vulnerability with a priceless stain. Could this moment that changed our history been avoided? Were there signs provided before these lives were exploited? Have we learned anything from these wells of grief? Or are we still following the whispers born of a thief? The Call of the Angels will come for you one day Will you be found ready or immediately decay? The loss of these lives will not have been in vain. They dwell in our purple mountains majesty and golden waves of grain. Blessed Be Your Souls Carole Cookie Arnold 2009
