I Could Have Been
I could have been a doctor to help you when you're ill Or maybe an accountant to assist you with your bills I could have been a dentist to give you a great smile Or I could have been an office clerk who would type and file But I will never know what I was supposed to be Although I wasn't really planned God had great plans for me I could have been a pastor to share with you God's love But now I am his angel and I'm watching from above From the time God breathed in me my spirit was alive You don't know how hard I tried I wanted to survive But Jesus came and gathered me safely in His arms I now live in His presence where no one can cause me harm There's one more thing you need to know Please hear me when I say I forgive you for not wanting me and I pray for you each day
