The Fountain
I Approach a Room So Full Of Gloom Melancholy Breathes Through Every Balcony Dark Despair rots in its very lair Feeding greedily on all love in the air It has no name, no permanent space. It walks the earth as the demon of the night Stalks a prey that’s filled with delight Oh mighty SET return to the Nile Persecute thy souls Persecute not thine. Hail gentle THEIA/Thea My sweet goddess of light Wash away this demon Engulf him with your veil Blind him in your heavenly light And set our imprisoned souls free from this plight Alas! I see the beautiful sun In all its greatness it has shone Free I feel from the devil’s snare Free I feel from his demonic stare Beneath the light I see the key That keeps me free for all eternity From the door I see it gush The fountain of life in its most glorious rush.
