Jim Morrison Slammed the Doors
Jim Morrison Slammed The Doors By Rick Rucker Jim, I think all of your fans knew, That we would not long have you, In this life, you had a blast, You just blew up too awfully fast, If you had become that Film Director, Perhaps the studio would have provided you a Protector, Someone who wouldn’t let you do, All the things that finished you, Something tells me that you wouldn’t have listened, So they put you in a box that glistened, Buried in The City of Lights, One of its most famous sites, You told us how you loved Life, Ironic, in view of your daily strife, Your constant turmoil, and lack of sleep, The crazy schedule only you could keep. You were the spokesman for our generation, To express our exasperation, To tell the rest to wake up, and live, To always find a way to give, More than seemed prudent, or sound, But that you had found, That Life is ever moving by, The best that you can do is to try, To grab some for yourself, Before you are in an urn, on a shelf! We are all asking why, Someone who lived so much, had to die, I finally believe I have the handle: It is something about both ends of the candle! The double-ended candle's fire, Did become your Funeral Pyre!
