Angels Without Wings
There are Angels in Heaven, that haven't any wings. No miracles or visions or any of those things, that Angels are said to do, to help us along. But, these wingless Angels, they sing the sweetest songs. As they rock the babes in Heaven and hold them to their breast. Fluffing the softest clouds, so as to lay their small heads to rest. They cover them in quilts of love and tenderness. You know these wingless Angels, are God's very best. I know personally, four of the wingless Angels, who love their task. I am sure they volunteered, without being asked. Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, never needed wings, for they were Angels while on this earth, their praises I sing. As they rock the babes in Heaven and hold them to their breast. Fluff the softest clouds they find, when the babes need rest. Covering them in quilts of love and tenderness. Yes, I know these four wingless Angels, are God's very best. The children flock around Grandpa, to hear his silly jokes. Watch him make bubbles float and blow multi colored rings of smoke. Grandma and Mom, make cookies and cake, fresh from the sun. Making sure as to not run out, sharing with everyone. Dad is making sure the piggy back rides, never stop. He finds the best clouds around, to bounce atop. At night, they rock the babes in Heaven and hold them to their breast. Gathering up the softest clouds, on which to rest. They cover them in quilts of love and tenderness. These four wingless Angels, are God's very best.
