Sebastian Viii
It's the end of our era It went by all too Fast I swore that I would stick with you, and That had been my plan You held my heart just by the String, You broke it oh-so-easily. So Before it had the chance to smash, I took Back all my promises I'm walking down this trail alone It's not as icy as I Thought Yet I lose my step every now and then, without A single hand to hold I am the only willow weeping down this Lonely road for miles I bent my back to please you, amazing how it never Snapped I believed all your excuses and tried To make up for what you Lack You are no longer a child But you still Play on the playground Your parents are the nightmare that made You climb into their bed They kept you from your happy endings, but You are too afraid to leave them I wish you were the man I'd wanted you to be You would never change for me; it Doesn't matter what I Did I'd like to think that I'm okay, though The truth is that I'm not You were the first to say you loved Me A fact that I hold dear But when I dared you just to show me, you Denied my last request I pled with you, then turned to go You'll never know how much it hurt when you Let me walk away As we both go our separate ways, I hope You'll think of me someday Meanwhile, caught up in the storm you Left behind, I'll kick off my shoes and dance barefoot In the rain I know I'll see the sun again, because It's never gone for long You are just a mirage of happiness A flame of false hope that Flickered And burned out I'm walking down this trail alone But it's a beautiful day I left your playground once and for all And I couldn't be happier
