Just a Dream
This is just a dream soon, I'll wake up from this night It can't be what it seems When I open my eyes, it'll be alright But everytime I blink, tears elude my sight it hurts to even think that this could be real life Another day passed on and still, I'm not awake is it possible you're really gone? No, it must be a mistake Yet here we all are gathered in tragic sorrow and disbelief As I kneel down at your casket I can barely breathe This is just a dream I close my eyes and pray Please, before I scream let me wake up from this day But when I open up my eyes I see yours are still closed thats the moment I realized you're never coming home It really hurts to even ask why Sitting in the church as your coffin passes by Inside my heart was torn why is life so unfair? I'm in the house of the Lord but don't feel him anywhere Still I pray for guidance from above to somehow get through this Do you know how much you're loved? Do you know how much you're missed? Somewhere inside I know you're okay You watch from the sky You're not far away and with time I've learned to carry on but at times it hits me hard That you're forever gone and I'm forever scarred But Sometimes, even now, a part of me still believes that you are here somehow... and this is just a dream* for Charlie. I miss you
