A Sad Story
Poor screwed-up people In their poor screwed-up house 2-year old is always crying Mama just stopped trying Papa’s been overdosing those pills he’s been buying He’s dying And some lady sleeps in papa’s bed every night Baby knows but he don’t say cause he don’t know wrong from right But he wonders why mama always looks ready to fight And papa always beats on mama So mama beats on baby Until one day comes along this suited up lady And she takes away baby cause the parents are crazy And baby never comes back cause the parents are lazy Now papa beats on mama, not her body, but her mind He always makes fun of mama’s double-digit size After every meal mama goes to the bathroom, so she won’t feel so wide One day she got sick of it, slit her wrists down the side And yes, you could consider this suicide Now papa can’t beat on anyone but himself So one day he got bottles off of his top shelf And he pop-pop-pop-popped pills till he was crazy as a Keebler elf I guess it was too much for his health Because now he’s dead From his toes to his drugged up head
