My Darkest Nights
My Darkest Nights Thinking of this life discouraged and out of sight out of sight but not blind I can still see the light... All of the nights that I lay in my bed and just pray hoping for a miracle and not a myth can you flip that switch? Holding my pillow tight as the tears pour down... thinking of all that's happening Can I live and get around? take me away from this town... This house is not a home without your word submerged through-out... So I push through the struggle with all my might, even on my darkest nights I may be down, but i'm not out... It's only the first strike No matter how complicatingly simple life is I'll continue to be thankful for all that you give. Sometimes I feel like I can't even breathe but you wrap your love around me. Your inspiration sets me free Or how about when the sun rises and I can barely sit up in my bed... I just thank you for waking me and give you the glory... By you I shall be led I know that I'm impatient for the patience that I pray for and with the negativity that surrounds me I should already be down, face flat on the floor but I look towards my destiny as I watch you opening more doors... So I'll make it through these twisted flights... Even on my darkest nights. by: Aleasha A. Martin With thoughts from: Isabella M. Martin
