From Daughter To Mother
From Daughter to Mother I believe you really love him But there's something I must say So please listen closely to me While I'm trying to explain That you are only fifteen But you think the time has come To make all your own decisions I've been where your coming from Knowing you can handle it If they'd only let you try Just know when I was your age I saw the reasons girls cry Saw them wish that they were older And go prove at any cost That they were not just little girls And their innocence was lost Know it always has been different Cause a boy becomes a man And he's treated like a hero But the girl not so grand She receives a reputation That is spread across the land Cause the boy is out there telling Almost everyone he can He don't tell them how he told you That you'd be the only one He won't tell them how you begged him To let you change your mind And all his friends will be there laughing When he comes and says to you I've got everything I wanted So the two of us are through He's not going to be there for you When you have to read the stick And he won't be there on the mornings That you keep on getting sick Plus the clock will go on ticking And soon you'll have to verify If you are going to keep your baby Or choose to let it die I don't think that you should have to Make a choice like that today You should wait until your old enough To come to me and say I'm so glad that I took your advice It's the reason I've become A well respected young adult That's prepared to be a mom By: Jeremy Siedlecki
